Steezo Mural | Trending-in.com

A mural of Steve “Stezo” Williams by his cousin Dooley O (@dooleyo and his friends @tattoosbyshabazz, @e165akadjluvhandles, and @star_tires_plus_wheels) is on the West Haven/ New Haven line. Stezo was known as one of the first emcees to put New Haven, Connecticut on the map. He was born on March 10, 1968, and grew up in the Brookside Housing projects. When he wasn’t dancing, Stezo was also well-known as the neighborhood DJ. But in 1989 when he released “It’s My Turn,” and this contagious dance anthem was his claim to fame as a legendary rapper from Connecticut.

So when he passed away on April 29, 2020, his friends and his city wanted to celebrate his legacy with a mural in the area.
