A global warming mural has hit Brooklyn’s P.S. 9 in Prospect Heights! Not the Future I Want by Atlanta-based street artist Alex Ferror (@alexferror) is part of the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) Mural Project, curated by Jeff Beler, who is also responsible for the Underhill Walls project – located not too far away from the school.
The global warming mural portrays a wide-eyed young girl witnessing the future effects of climate change inside of a crystal ball. In this arctic premonition, she’s hugging a fluffy white polar bear in her vibrant summer dress next to a sign that reads, “Global Warming is Real!”
