When Brandan “BMike” Odums painted Entrepreneurship is a Boxing Match on the side of Washington D.C.’s Union Market building, its vision was inspired by a powerful poem and an even more powerful group of Black women from the DMV area. Black Girl Ventures Foundation (BGV) partnered with Nike to celebrate women business owners and recognize their community contributions.
The Entrepreneurship is a Boxing Match features a few of the DMV’s most treasured woman business owners, Anika Hobbs, Brittany Young, Dawn Meyers, Naza Shelley, and Shelly Omilâdé Bell.
